Sam's Club is allowing nonmembers to test its Scan & Go app without a membership.

Sam's Club is expanding the use of its Scan & Go app, which allows customers to scan products with a mobile app and walk out, skipping the checkout line. At first, nonmembers will be allowed to test the app without a membership. The move is a direct challenge to a similar technology by Amazon, which began testing by having employees use the Amazon Go app in a Seattle store. (Mobile Commerce Daily)
