California Fresh Market, a new grocery store which opened on Nov. 9 in San Luis Obispo, offers consumers an app that scans products to add to their purchase. Through the app, shoppers can keep track of their total spend and specials. Then at checkout time, the app allows for scanning a QR code in order to make a payment via credit card or Apple Pay. (Progressive Grocer)
