Primark's first store opened in downtown Boston in Sept. 2015, and the company later signed an agreement with Sears Holdings to take over space from existing Sears stores. The Burlington location was the first to open and another is scheduled at the South Shore Plaza in Braintree, Massachusetts, where Primark leased 71,000 sq. ft. from Sears.

Sears will continue to operate stores in both locations, albeit with reduced square footage.
