Neiman Marcus unveils plus-size department

Five of the retailer's in-store boutiques will carry designer goods in sizes 14 to 24.

Neiman Marcus is unveiling Last Call Plus Size departments in five of its Last Call outlet stores. For the first time, women will be able to shop designer goods in sizes 14 to 24 in the retailer's in-store boutiques. Frank Crisci, VP of merchandising for Neiman Marcus Last Call, said that the luxury department store chain previously had not been serving the vast plus-size market the way it should have been, and customers were starting to demand it. The plus-size women's clothing market is estimated to be worth more than $20 billion and a recent survey of this demographic found that 78% of respondents would spend more money if designers offered more options in plus sizes.
