Nordstrom is expanding its partnership with J.Crew and will soon sell an edited assortment of merchandise.
A selection of women's apparel and accessories will launch at select full-line Nordstrom stores and online on Sept. 12. Petites will be available online only at that time.
Nordstrom has been selling an assortment of J.Crew's Madewell brand since 2015 and its availability has since expanded to 76 locations and online.
"We know our customers love J.Crew and we're excited to be offering this coveted brand in our stores and online," said Pete Nordstrom, co-president. "Partnering with quality brands like J.Crew that have exclusive distribution is part of our long-term strategic agenda."
Partnering with brands has been a big part of Nordstrom's strategy, particularly when it comes to wooing younger shoppers. Youthful brands available today at Nordstrom stores include fast-fashion label Topshop, BaubleBar and now J.Crew.
But differentiation efforts aren't restricted to teen-oriented merchandise. Last week Nordstrom said it was doubling the number of Space designer boutiques, and earlier this summer the retailer opened a Tesla car gallery in Los Angeles.
