Welcome to FierceRetailIT

Dear Readers,

I am pleased to announce that StorefrontBacktalk has officially been re-launched as FierceRetailIT.

It has been a year since StorefrontBacktalk became a member of the FierceMarkets family. Over the course of the past 12 months, we have continued to deliver the breaking retail IT news stories, analysis, and opinion pieces you've come to expect from the StorefrontBacktalk brand.

As we continue to grow and evolve, we are constantly looking for opportunities to better serve you, our readers. Whether it's opening up premium content to all subscribers or launching complementary titles to serve you with the latest retail industry news on a daily basis, our mission is to continue to bring you the highest quality content.

What can you expect from this new moniker? The same high quality news and analysis you've come to expect from StorefrontBacktalk delivered to you on a weekly basis.

The name has changed, but our commitment to quality will not. In addition to the weekly retail IT news, you will also benefit from having more seamless access to the content in our sister publications, FierceRetail and FierceMobileRetail, via our integrated Web site platform.

We have also expanded the editorial team serving you. Please join me in welcoming Laura Heller as our new Executive Editor. Laura brings nearly two decades of experience as a reporter on mass-market retail trends and initiatives to the FierceRetailIT team. Throughout the course of her career, she has written for major retail news outlets including Discount Store News/Retailing Today, Drug Store News, Grocery Headquarters, Chain Store Age, Consumer Electronics Daily, Home Channel News, License! Global and Shopper Marketing Magazine. She has apepared on national TV and radio programs discussing retail trends including ABC News Now and National Public Radio. In addition, her blog -- "The Point of Purchase" -- currently appears on Forbes.com

If you'd like to connect with Laura, you can reach her directly at [email protected] and on Twitter at @lfheller. And as always, feel free to contact me with any questions.

Best,
