Wearable adoption still a long way off

Wearable mobile devices may be in the spotlight -- Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) announced its Android Wear line of watches last week -- but mass adoption is still a long way off, reports FierceMobileRetail's sister publication, FierceCMO.

Those consumers interested in wearables are largely young, have disposable income and claim to be interested in the technology for its conveneince or fitness benefits, not for any potential retail applications, according to a new study by Nielsen. Story
