Walmart shifts to digital ads

Walmart is turning to digital advertising and moving away from print as the retailer fine tunes its marketing to better address the millennial shopper.

"We are moving away quickly from print," said  Wanda Young, Walmart VP of media and digital marketing. "We really believe that from Walmart's perspective, you follow the customer—it's just that simple. If you do customer research and you watch customer behavior, all of their time spent now is split between devices. As more and more we shift [who] we try to target towards a millennial audience, [we find] they just don't read [print]." Story
