Walmart reorganizes as Mike Moore, Mark Ibbotson assume greater responsibilities

Walmart has announced several executive changes designed to revitalize supercenters and small formats with new rollouts including grocery home shopping.

Mike Moore (right), currently executive VP of the Neighborhood Market division, has been named to an executive VP role in which he will oversee Walmart's U.S. supercenter operation. Executive VP of Walmart West Julie Murphy will fill his old position.

Mark Ibbotson, Walmart U.S. senior VP of innovations, will serve in an expanded role, retaining the senior VP title for the innovations organization now dubbed "central operations." He will also take responsibility for asset protection and work with Walmart Global eCommerce to build out grocery home shopping operations.

Walmart also announced that Pam Kohn, executive VP of Walmart Realty, and Joaquin Varela, executive VP of Walmart East, are parting ways with the company. Kohn's position will be filled by J.P. Suarez, who currently acts as senior VP of real estate strategy, design and construction. Story
