Walmart lays out new sustainability plan

Walmart plans to double the sales of locally grown produce in the United States and expand sourcing of 20 key products in its stores by 2025. Walmart President and CEO Doug McMillon announced the company's new sustainability targets for food, waste and energy, building upon a plan put into action 10 years ago. The company pledged to use 100 percent recyclable packaging for private label food, consumables and health and wellness products, starting with private brands in the United States. (Supermarket News)
