Under Armour COO, CFO resigns to become Blue Apron CFO

Under Armour's COO and CFO Brad Dickerson is stepping down to become CFO of Blue Apron, a startup recipe and fresh ingredient delivery service launched in 2012. He will remain with Under Armour through February 2016 to see it through the transition.

"I am extremely proud of being part of this dynamic brand, specifically in driving explosive growth to nearly $4 billion in revenue this year and laying the foundation for $7.5 billion in revenue by 2018," Dickerson said. "Over the last 11 years, Under Armour has enabled me to develop many competencies, including helping an early stage company accelerate growth, and I am excited to utilize this expertise in the near future."

Dickerson started at Under Armour in 2004 as corporate controller and became VP of accounting and finance in 2006. Two years later, Dickerson was appointed as CFO and in early 2015 he was given the COO title.

"I want to take this opportunity to recognize Brad's accomplishments and to thank him for his many contributions at Under Armour," said Kevin Plank, Under Armour's founder and CEO. "During his time at Under Armour, Brad has played an integral role in providing value for the company by building a strong team and demonstrating a core competency of accelerating growth, taking the company from pre-IPO to a multi-billion dollar global business."

Under Armour is conducting an external search for Dickerson's replacement.

Meanwhile, Blue Apron welcomes its new CFO as the business is growing at a rapid pace. "We're excited to welcome Brad to the executive leadership team at Blue Apron," said Blue Apron CEO Matt Salzberg. "Blue Apron is now shipping five million meals per month to customers across the country, up from one million meals per month less than a year ago. Brad brings deep experience in scaling fast-growing iconic brands, and we expect his leadership will be an invaluable asset to the company as we continue to grow at a rapid pace."

Prior to Under Armour, Dickerson was CFO of Macquaria Aviation North America and held several positions at Network Building & Consulting, including CFO. Under Armour Press Release Blue Apron Press Release
