Ugg brand, a division of Deckers Brands, announced two pop-up stores in Boston and New Jersey. The temporary shops will feature merchandise not found in stores, featuring an array of 500 to 550 products from footwear to handbags.
"Boston and the New York City metro represent two important regions for Ugg so we feel the addition of these pop-up locations will make the brand more accessible to consumers as they seek out their favorite back-to-school and holiday shopping items," said Gerard Marceda, VP of North America retail for Deckers.
The first pop-up shop, located in Boston's Faneuil Hall, is spread over 1,764 sq. ft. and not far from a permanent Ugg store on Newbury Street. The New Jersey pop-up is an outlet store, located in Elizabeth, just outside of New York City. The 1,429 sq. ft. retail space complements the brand concept shops located in Manhattan.
Both stores have access to the Ugg program, which allows customers to access all product sizes and colors.
The shops will remain open through early 2016.
Deckers has been testing out new omnichannel concepts for the Ugg brand and opened its second technology-driven Innovation Lab in the District of Columbia in late 2014. Decker's first Innovation Lab, also its first brick-and-mortar location, is located in Goleta, California.
