Twitter drops more e-commerce clues

Rumors are swirling that Twitter is one step closer to launching into the e-commerce business.

A handful of users have reported seeing a "Payment & Shipping" tab among the other security preferences listed on their Twitter mobile settings, reported WebProNews.

When users tried clicking the tab, nothing happened—yet.

Last month a "Buy Now" button started appearing in tweets, and supposedly it was the product of shopping app, Fancy. It seems the social network is testing settings for mobile shopping.

Facebook recently began testing its own "Buy Now" button, which could appear inside retailers' and brands' promoted posts.

A new purchasing menu would give both social networks an opportunity to increase revenue while acting as an additional reason for brands to engage in business with them.
