Tuesday Morning CFO resigns, joins Pier 1 Imports

Off-price retailer Tuesday Morning announced the resignation of Jeffrey Boyer, executive-VP, CFO and chief administrative officer. Boyer will officially leave the company on July 22 and join Pier 1 Imports on July 27 as executive-VP and CFO. 

"Tuesday Morning has unquestionably benefited from Jeff's expertise and insight, and we are grateful for his success building a strong and enduring financial and administrative infrastructure that will serve us well moving forward as we continue to rebuild and support the long-term growth of our business," CEO Michael Rouleau said in a company statement.

Tuesday Morning has started a comprehensive search to replace Boyer with the aid of an executive search firm. Kelly Munsch, VP and controller, will oversee accounting and finance functions until a replacement is found. Tuesday Morning Press Release

At Pier 1 Imports, Boyer will be responsible for financial operations, financial reporting, planning and analysis, accounting, treasury, tax and investor relations. 

Boyer has over 35 years of experience in finance, including as CFO and COO at 24 Hour Fitness Worldwide prior to his stint at Tuesday Morning. He was also CFO at The Michaels Companies, Inc., had leadership positions at Sears and Kmart, and began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers. 

"Jeff's financial and operational expertise, including his public company CFO experience, makes him extremely well qualified to lead our finance organization," said Alex Smith, Pier 1 Imports president and CEO. "His broad retail background, which encompasses real estate, supply chain and IT, will be an asset to us as we continue to drive our financial transformation under Pier 1 Imports' omnichannel business model."
