True Value names former OfficeMax exec Deborah O'Connor CFO

True Value Company has appointed Deborah O'Connor its new senior VP and CFO, filling the role vacated by David Shadduck, whose departure became effective April 30.

"We are excited to have Deb O'Connor join True Value," said President and CEO John Hartmann in a statement. "Her financial expertise and deep experience in retail make her the right choice for our next CFO. We'll benefit from her experience in the development of long-term growth plans as well as her skill in budgeting and forecasting within fast-paced retail environments."

O'Connor joins the company with 25 years of experience in a variety of financial roles, most recently spending seven years at OfficeMax as senior VP of integration and finance where she was integral to the OfficeMax and Office Depot merger. Since 2008, she has served in several finance roles, including senior VP and chief accounting officer.

Before her time at OfficeMax, O'Connor worked with ServiceMaster for more than 15 years, most recently as senior VP and controller. At ServiceMaster she was charged with overseeing the acquisitions of Terminix, TruGreen/ChemLawn, American Home Shield and Merry Maids. Press release
