TargetExpress opens in San Francisco, Berkeley

Target opened two more small-format stores in San Francisco and Berkeley, California, this week. The TargetExpress format, which debuted in Minneapolis last year, will cater to the urban dwellers and include a large grab-and-go area with sandwiches, salads, breakfast and snacks aimed at commuters. Apparel is pared down to focus on work attire, and packaged goods, such as toilet paper and paper towels, come in two-packs or other downsized quantities. Story
