Target teams with SoulCycle

Target (NYSE:TGT) is teaming up with the fitness company SoulCycle for a 10-city tour that will bring free spin-style classes to several markets.

Consumers can take the 45-minute high-intensity workout over three days (weekends) in January and February. Classes will be held in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

There are six classes each day, but space is limited to the number of bikes available.

Additionally, Target will also sell SoulCycle co-branded goods online that feature both Target's and SoulCycle's logos.

The program is part of Target's efforts to focus on health and wellness products in its stores. The retailer has been revamping its grocery department to include more natural and organic items in an attempt to differentiate from traditional grocery stores and more direct competitors including Walmart, which has also been adding natural and fresh foods as these products become more mainstream.
