Square kills Wallet for new Square Order app

Square is killing the Square Wallet app and has removed it from Apple and Google's app stores. Despite the growing mobile payments market, Square was unable to drive adoption of the program.

Instead, Square will focus on Square Order, a new app for Android and iOS that lets shoppers order and pay for carryout food at restaurants and receive an alert when their order is ready. The service replaces Square Wallet and is available in New York and San Francisco immediately, but will be rolled out in more cities. Story
