Spotlight: Macy's doubles down on wedding business

Macy's (NYSE:M) is increasing its efforts to capture more sales from weddings, adding higher-priced bridal jewelry and retraining personal shoppers to work with brides.

"We have an opportunity to service the couple throughout the entire wedding journey, not just at the point of registry," Shawn Outler, the Macy's senior VP overseeing the wedding strategy, told Fortune. "We weren't quite messaging to those opportunities but we knew we were selling the product." Read more.
