Sellers grow faster on Amazon than eBay and Google

Sales by outside merchants on Amazon's (NASDAQ: AMZN) Marketplace were up 27 percent in April 2014 compared to the year prior, which puts the company ahead of clients' sales on Amazon.com, eBay, Google Search and Google Shopping (NASDAQ: GOOG) according to a new study by ChannelAdvisor.

Client retailers selling on Amazon had the greatest increase in sales among the channels tracked. Clients on eBay had an increase of 14 percent while revenue from paid search ads on Google Search grew only 4.3 percent for the same time period. Story
