Sears' Get Advice online chat links shoppers to mobile enabled associates

Sears' (NASDAQ:SHLD) latest addition to its Shop Your Way loyalty program connects shoppers to each other and in-store associates with mobile devices to literally Get Advice.

Get Advice is an online chat feature that lets shoppers pose questions to the Shop Your Way online community and query store associates for product information.

"We're using technology to virtually open the doors to Sears stores across the country giving our members access to the expertise of thousands of our associates," said Leena Munjal, SVP of member experience and integrated retail at Sears. "This level of interaction is another way we are integrating the digital and physical shopping experience—members can enjoy the advantage of getting great advice from the stores, plus engage the vast Shop Your Way community."

Get Advice paired with the recently launched Member Assist program leverages the online and mobile channels that members already use to tap into Sears' team of store associates, as well as members of the Shop Your Way community, to get advice on products and services.

Sears has been focused on growing the Shop Your Way member program adding new features and exclusive products to grow digital sales.
