Saks Fifth Avenue's (TSE:HBC) first store in Canada opens next week after two years of planning. The location will feature new services, including food and dining options not found in U.S. stores.

The 25,000-sq.-ft. store in Toronto's CF Eaton Centre will mark the debut of the Saks at Your Service, a personal shopping service that delivers to a customers' home, office or hotel, anytime.

There's also private shopping destination The Fifth Avenue Club, which offers personalized styling for men and women.

That store and an additional 18,500-sq.-ft. facility at CF Sherway Gardens will each feature the Saks Food Hall by Pusateri's, a first for Saks. The locations will consist of various culinary stations, services, and an assortment of premium grocery products and foods, including exclusive items.

Saks will also introduce two new restaurant concepts by Oliver & Bonacini. Beaumont Kitchen at At CF Sherway Gardens is from Chef Michael Hay and will serve as an all-day dining lounge serving eclectic West Coast cuisine. At CF Toronto Eaton Centre, Leña, a restaurant and bar by Chef Anthony Walsh, will feature South American cuisine. The culinary experiences will open at CF Sherway Gardens on February 25 and at CF Toronto Eaton Centre in May.

Retailers are increasingly partnering with restaurants and offering in-store dining options as shoppers seek out more immersive entertainment and lifestyle experiences while shopping.

Saks began hosting grand opening festivities this week. The retailer will also open four Off 5th outlet stores as part of part of parent company Hudson's Bay's North American expansion plan to open up 25 Canadian locations.
