Retale names former Hudson's Bay exec to advisory board

Location-based mobile commerce platform Retale announced that Ryan Craver has joined its advisory board.

Craver is currently head of emerging brands, license and digital strategy for Lamour Group's global brand roster. Before that, he was senior VP and chief of staff for the department store group at Hudson's Bay, where he was responsible for building relationships and alliances throughout the company's portfolio and leading core department store strategy for Lord & Taylor. He also served in executive roles for six years at Accenture, tasked with promoting growth and profit improvement for clients such as FedEx, Virgin Media and Best Buy.

"We have long admired Ryan's passion for the intersection of technology and retail," said Pat Dermody, Retale's president, in a statement. "The work he did at Lord & Taylor around beacons was exemplary of his ability to drive innovation and push beyond existing boundaries. We are thrilled that he has agreed to join our Advisory Board sharing both his knowledge, experience and passion for next-generation retailing."

Craver is also a member of the advisory board for the New York Fashion Technology Lab, as well as the Plug and Play Tech Center, and acts as a mentor for several startup companies. Press release
