Online plus-size shop opens brick-and-mortar

Online apparel retailer Eloquii will open its first brick-and-mortar store this fall. The plus-sized retailer—originally a subset of The Limited—will open in Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio. (The Columbus Dispatch)

H&M to expand in India

Weddington Way opens in Banana Republic

E-commerce wedding shop Weddington Way is opening a shop within a Banana Republic store in Santa Monica, California. This will be the second shop-in-shop in California since Weddington Way was acquired by Gap six months ago. (California Apparel News)

Retail closings rise 218%

While retail closings in 2017 are up 218%, openings are also up 53%. Thus far, 5,321 closures have been announced this year. The biggest losers have been RadioShack and Payless, with 1,000 and 512 closings. (Forbes)
