Rent the Runway creates new C-level logistics role

Rent the Runway created a new position, chief logistics officer, and named Chris Halkyard to the role. He will be responsible for the designer clothing rental company's logistics platform, including the proprietary reverse-logistics operations and transportation network.

"We're elated to have Mr. Halkyard join the Rent the Runway team," said Jennifer Hyman, CEO and co-founder of Rent the Runway. "He has amazing experience in distribution and logistics which will allow us to innovate on the ways we continue to deliver rental experiences that exceed our customers' expectations."

Halkyard was most recently chief supply chain officer and general manager of distribution services at Gilt, a member-based online shopping website. He also has prior logistics experience as Marc Ecko, L'Occitane, FAO Schwarz and the May Department Stores (currently Macy's).

"I'm really excited to be joining this talented group of people," said Halkyard. "Rent the Runway's logistical capabilities are irresistible to me and I look forward to helping scale the business and implementing more innovative supply chain solutions."

Halkyard is currently a board member at Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey. Press Release
