Nielsen Ratings To Include Mobile Viewing

In big news for mobile advertisers, Nielsen plans to include mobile numbers in its traditional TV viewing stats for the 2014-2015 season. To that end, the company is sending software kits to clients in mid-November, enabling them to incorporate mobile-TV viewing into ratings. If a broadcaster makes a TV show available for viewing on a digital device – and it meets Nielsen's ad load and timeline requirements – that viewing will count in the regular Nielsen TV ratings. Story
