Mobile ad platform RevMob appoints co-CEO

Mobile ad platform RevMob appointed Marcelo Ferreira as co-CEO, responsible for day-to-day operations, business development and global expansion. He will share executive management duties with RevMob CEO Pedro Jahara.

Ferreira joins RevMob after serving as CEO for hellofood Brazil, the Latin American brand of foodpanda group, a company which he also cofounded.

Foodpanda group is the largest firm that offers online ordering and delivery service from local restaurants. Ferreira grew the business to 120 employees during his time with the company.

"Marcelo is a solid executive with broad skills and a proven track record of success who will accelerate RevMob's growth globally," Jahara said. "I am looking forward to working closely with him to make RevMob the best mobile ad network in the world."

Prior to cofounding foodpanda, Ferreria was a business analyst for A.T. Kearney, where he provided strategic planning, cost control and analysis for clients in the energy, mining, cement and automobile industries. He was also a strategic planning manager at TNT Express, one of the largest express delivery companies.

"With my previous business experience, I am looking forward to leading RevMob to new heights in service, technology and new customer acquisition," Ferreira said.  "RevMob has a highly talented and motivated team, and I believe we offer a value proposition to the mobile advertising market place that is second to none."
