Mary-Kate and Ashley debut first flagship for The Row

Mary-Kate and Ashly Olsen were once adorable child stars but in the 10 years since launching their first apparel line, The Row, the twins have become powerful forces in the world of fashion. On Tuesday, the Olsens will open their first flagship devoted to the label in Los Angeles.

The 3,800-square-foot store will house apparel and accessories in a distinct setting. The space looks more like a home than a retail store, complete with library, dining room and pool area. The mid-century modern decor and sparse setting evoke the minimalistic aesthetic of The Row. Furnishing and accent pieces are also for sale, and the sisters have included pieces from their own art collection and plan to grow the number of curated pieces on display over time.

The Row is sold at 188 stores internationally, including Barney's New York. The Olsens' contemporary brand, Elizabeth and James could also get a retail home of its own. Said Mary-Kate: "We'll obviously wait to see the reaction of this store and how it enhances the brand, but the environment is very important."
