Macy's to expand same-day delivery into new markets

Macy's announced it will expand its same-day delivery service into new markets, starting as early as this summer. The department store chain already offers the service in eight markets, but wants to keep pace with Amazon, which now offers same-day delivery in 14 cities. Macy's has found a cost-effective way, by partnering with Deliv, to pick up online orders from stores and malls, then get them quickly into consumers' hands. One advantage that Macy's already has over Amazon is its 886 stores, where products can be sourced for delivery, versus Amazon's 50 fulfillment centers. Story
