Macy's sees pay-off from aggressive promotions and omnichannel strategies

Macy's hit shoppers hard with promotions in the second quarter, with reductions of 20 percent or more on most items. And it worked. Comp sales increased 3.4 percent, with the strongest hikes in juniors, active wear and handbags.
