Macy's keeps Marshall Field's name

Macy's didn't want to operate stores under the Marshall Field's banner after it acquired the company in 2005, but it doesn't want anyone else to either. Macy's transferred the trademarks of other "heritage" brands including Jordan Marsh, I. Magnin and Robinsons-May to Strategic Marks, but will keep the Marshall Field's moniker. Story
