Macy's, Barneys CEOs Will Lead Racial Profiling Forum

Macy's (NYSE: M) Terry Lundgren and Barneys' Mark Lee have agreed to lead a forum on racial profiling in the retail industry after reports from several African American shoppers claim they were unfairly detained at both stores surfaced last month.

Executives from Saks Fifth Avenue, Lord & Taylor, Victoria's Secret, Bloomingdale's, and more have been invited to attend the education session which is also being supported by the Retail Council of New York and the New York Metropolitan Retailing Association.  A statement from Macy's said that the forum will focus on retail loss prevention and apprehension policies and procedures "reviewed with the active input and involvement of key community leaders."
