Lidl to hire 800 in prep for U.S. opening

European grocery Lidl announced it will start hiring 800 people across Virginia this week to prepare for the opening of its first U.S. stores this summer. The plan is to hire associates for locations in 12 Virginia cities at wages of $12 an hour plus health and 401K retirement plans, with matching contributions. (Pilot Online)
