Krispy Kreme Goes To Colombia

Krispy Kreme (NYSE:KKD), which just generated food lines in Moscow when it opened its first store there earlier this month, is now headed south. The doughnut chain said on Wednesday (Sept. 25) it has signed its first South American development deal with IRCC Ltda., based in Bogota, Colombia. The agreement will bring the highly addictive fried dough to 25 stores in Colombia over the next five years. It may also lead to other South American franchisees, since IRCC has done business in other parts of Latin America in the past. By our count, that puts Krispy Kreme on every continent except Africa and Antarctica. Story
