Kohl's (NYSE:KSS) is expanding its partnership with Deliv, a crowdsourced delivery company, to offer same-day delivery in nine markets.
Currently, Deliv powers shipments to Kohl's customers in San Francisco, the Bay Area and Chicago. Now the service will expand to Boston, Los Angeles, Miami, northern New Jersey, Philadelphia and Brooklyn/Queens, New York, in the coming weeks.
"Fulfilling shipments from local stores is core to omnichannel and the future of retail. We're excited to partner with Kohl's as a part of their broader omnichannel strategy," said Daphne Carmeli, founder and CEO of Deliv.
Consumers in the new markets can place orders online via computer, phone or tablet, and items will be delivered in the same day. Kohl's began testing same-day delivery in select markets in September.
The retailer also made the buy online, pick up in-store option available via mobile. BOPIS rolled out nationally at Kohl's earlier this spring.
In the midst of expanding its offerings and services, Kohl's announced a test of in-store cafes earlier this month.
