IDC hires former Frito-Lay leader as senior retail analyst

IDC Retail Insights has announced that Victoria Brown will join the company as a senior research analyst for its retail supply chain.

Brown will be responsible for leading the supply chain research program and covering important divisions such as inventory management, warehouse management, logistics and omnichannel distributed order orchestration to support IT leaders at major retailers around the world.

Brown was most recently a supply chain leader in charge of load balance and tracking distribution channels for Frito-Lay North America's third-largest plant. She also held supply chain positions at VistaPrint and Proctor and Gamble, and is certified as a Six-Sigma green belt, qualifying her to analyze and solve quality improvement issues.

"We are thrilled to welcome Victoria to the team," said Group VP Robert Parker. "Her recent industry experience will be valuable to clients and prospects seeking to modernize their supply chain infrastructure to meet the demands of today's savvy consumers. A complement to our existing library of research, Victoria's work will dive deeper into the business and technology challenges facing retailers today with respect to the supply chain and their IT priorities in 2015 and beyond."
