How Will the Government Shutdown Impact Restaurant Chains?

While the government shutdown is not immediately impacting most restaurant companies, the dip in consumer confidence from the two-and-a-half week fiasco is likely to impact 2014 foodservice sales, according to a new Technomic report. In fact, consumer confidence recently experienced its highest one-week drop, according to Gallup, since the collapse of Lehman Brothers in 2008. Story
