Home Depot revamps in-store handhelds

Home Depot (NYSE:HD) is leveraging mobile to better enable associates. The home improvement chain has rolled out new smartphones to employees with an enhanced interface and the ability to check inventory, locate items and access product descriptions.

The device doubles as an inventory management tool and mobile POS, letting associates check-out shoppers in remote locations, including the garden center. Story
