High Income Consumers Shop At Dollar Stores

Dollar stores' sales growth in recent years is undisputable. However, what is surprising is that half of high-income households (those who earn $150,000 or more annually) said they shop at dollar stores in a new Mintel survey. An impressive 10 percent of those households said they are shopping more at dollar stores this year because they are conveniently located and feature better prices than other retailers. Plus, 59 percent of high income earners said dollar stores are pleasant to shop in and 54 percent say the stores' brands and products are just as good as those sold at other retail outlets. Story
