Hertz appoints Tom Sabatino as general counsel

Hertz has announced that Thomas Sabatino Jr. has been named senior executive VP, chief administrative officer and general counsel, effective Feb. 9. He will be responsible for legal, compliance, human resources, labor relations, communications, government affairs, community relations, real estate, facilities and security.

Sabatino joins the company from Walgreens Boots Alliance, where he most recently served as executive VP, global legal and chief administrative officer. Before that, he worked at United Airlines and Schering-Plough as executive VP and general counsel, and as general counsel for Baxter International and American Medical International.

"Tom Sabatino is a seasoned executive who is also widely recognized as a leading general counsel," John Tague, president and CEO of Hertz said in a statement. "Tom will be a senior advisor and business partner, not only in his capacity as chief legal and compliance officer, but also in his role leading significant corporate functions.
