GrubHub testing food delivery in three markets

Jumping in on the food on-demand wars between Google, Amazon and other start-ups, GrubHub—the company which historically connects restaurants that deliver to consumers—is testing out its own delivery service. Available in three markets, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago, the company announced an agreement to acquire Restaurants on the Run and DiningIn. With the help of the $80 million purchases, GrubHub will be able to carry off deliveries for 3,000 restaurants in about a dozen U.S. metro markets. Story
