Gap appoints Victoria's Secret "Pink" creator design chief

Gap has announced that Wendi Goldman will join the company as executive VP of product design and development, effective March 16. She will lead the company's global design team and work closely with merchandising, product operations and customer experience.

Goldman has 25 years of experience in the retail industry, most recently working as chief product officer at C. Wonder. Before that, she spent more than 10 years with L Brands (then Limited Brands), where she led the Victoria's Secret "Pink" line of products, including the creation of their marketing and merchandising campaign. She also worked with the Express brand, and served in product design for Gap's Banana Republic brand during the 1990s.

Officially, Goldman's position is a new one for the retailer. However, Gap parted ways with Rebekka Bay in January, eliminating the creative director title in the process, and it is essentially that role Goldman will be filling. Story
