Flipboard Partners with Retailers to Add Shopping Feature

Flipboard, the popular magazine-format news and social media aggregator, rolled out its new shopping section on Monday, Nov. 11, featuring catalogs across multiple categories and from sellers including eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY), Banana Republic, Birchbox and ModCloth.

The app allows its 90 million users to browse through 10 shopping catalogues curated by Flipboard staff. Shoppers can flip through magazine-like collections by brands or based on themes like "Modern Man," "Beauty Bar," "Home Sweet Home" and "The Pantry." The launch comes with perfect timing as the busy holiday shopping season gets underway. Story
