Everlast opens first US brick-and-mortar

Boxing equipment retailer Everlast Worldwide will open its first U.S. brick-and-mortar stores this summer. The three stores will be located in Florida, two in Broward County at the Westfield Broward Mall in Plantation and the Pembroke Lakes Mall in Pembroke Pines. The third store recently opened at Westfield Countryside Mall in Clearwater, Sun Sentinel reported.

Everlast has physical locations in other countries, but the locations in South Florida will be the first in the United States. The other two stores are expected to open in July.

Everlast stores will offer traditional boxing equipment plus MMA gear and other apparel and accessories for fitness, both for men and women.

The company also announced last week the launch of a new e-commerce site for its fitness and MMA equipment. The site, developed in conjunction with Blue Acorn, will be better tailored to handle the brand's increasing consumer demand.

Everlast joins the growing list of retailers that have recently jumped into the brick-and-mortar space including BaubleBar, Blue Nile and Rent the Runway.
