Einstein Noah Restaurant Group appoints new CEO

Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, which includes subsidiaries such as Einstein Bros. Bagels, Noah's New York Bagels, and Manhattan Bagel, announced Sept. 8 the appointment of Frank Paci as president and CEO, effective Sept. 15.

Paci succeeds Michael Arthur, who has acted as interim CEO since February. Arthur will continue to serve as the board director.

"Frank is a highly experienced executive and an exceptional leader in the restaurant industry," said Nelson Heumann, chairman, Einstein. "After conducting an extensive search, which included evaluating the qualifications of dozens of well-regarded candidates, we are proud to have selected an individual who we believe has the passion, talent and expertise to strengthen and grow our business. Frank's background and skill set make him the ideal candidate to lead our company at this time."

Paci has more than 25 years of experience leading top retail brands. He most recently acted as president and CEO at McAlister's Deli, where he has worked since September of 2010. McAlister's enjoyed more than three years of same-store sales increases during Paci's four-year tenure.

Paci also acted as executive VP and CFO at The Pantry, which has more than 1,500 locations. He has held various general management, finance and franchise sales positions with restaurant chains such as Pizza Hut and Burger King (NYSE:BKW).

"I am excited to join the Einstein Noah team and look forward to working with our employees and franchise partners to further enhance and grow the nationwide footprint of the fast-casual restaurant leader in fresh-baked bagels," Paci said. Press Release
