CVS aims to be consumers' health care provider

CVS Health already has an enormous reach in the United States, with a total of 7,800 retail stores and locations in almost every state. In the past, the retailer has been known for selling typical drugstore products and as a place to pick up prescriptions—it's currently the country's largest dispenser of prescription drugs. CVS is also the second-largest pharmacy benefits manager. Bringing in close to $140 billion in revenue last year, 97 percent from pharmacy and prescription services, CVS is the one of the country's largest health care providers. Although the retailer took an initial hit last year when it stopped selling tobacco products, it seems to be making up the revenue just fine. Story
