Corner Bakery adds Pepsi vet as CMO

Justin Lambeth was named Corner Bakery Café's new chief marketing officer, joining the company from Pepsi. Lambeth fills the role left vacant by Diana Hovey, who left Corner Bakery in April to work for a non-profit organization, Share Our Strength.

Lambeth most recently managed the marketing and customer engagement business for Pepsi's Quaker Division as CMO. His other prior experience includes being VP at Frito-Lay and holding other leadership positions at Heinz and Nabisco.

"Justin is a seasoned leader with deep retail, consumer insight and strategic marketing experience, which will be a tremendous asset during this important growth period in our company's history," said Gary Price, president of Corner Bakery Cafe. "Further strengthening our already impressive senior leadership and marketing teams, his expertise in both the food and beverage and CPG industry will help continue our momentum as a leader in the fast-casual category."

Upon his appointment, Lambeth said, "Corner Bakery Cafe's creativity and willingness to think outside the box is something I've always been a fan of from afar. I believe I can help Corner Bakery Cafe continue to innovate in the space with marketing campaigns that have a lasting impact on the brand and drive additional traffic to the cafes."

Lambeth was named Marketer of the Year by Brandweek in 2010 for his transformation of the Lay's brand. Press Release
