Consumer packaged goods lacking in digital sales

Consumer packaged goods brands are lagging behind several other categories when it comes to e-commerce sales—well behind the pacing of consumer electronics and fashion and apparel. Online sales of food and beverages will only account for about 2.3 percent of the online market in 2014, while health and personal care brands will account for about 8 percent.
