Cole Haan opens innovation center

Footwear brand Cole Haan announced the opening of its Innovation & Sports Lifestyle Design Center, located at the company's headquarter in Greenland, New Hampshire.

The brand's goal is to continue to make high-quality dress footwear for men and women, following the launch of ZeroGrand, the lightest and most flexible shoe Cole Haan has ever created.

"Cole Haan has been an innovator for 85 years. This has put us at the forefront of the footwear industry. With the opening of our Global Innovation Center, we elevated our commitment to bring creative disruption to the marketplace," declared Jack Boys, CEO of Cole Haan.

The Innovation Center will allow the brand to aggressively expand its offering of ZeroGrand products. The results will be sold at the company's retail stores, both domestically and at global retail partners.

"Cole Haan will continue to dare to be bold, while honoring our tradition of crafting iconic American lifestyle products. The brand will continue to grow and revolutionize with innovation," concluded Andrew Dubin, chief merchandising officer at Cole Haan.

Cole Haan joins the growing list of retailers opening innovation centers as technology think tanks for improving product ideas and production, including DSW, Deckers, Target and Neiman Marcus.
