Christopher & Banks to implement omnichannel software solution

Women's apparel retailer Christopher & Banks will integrate its online and store operations, and optimize its customer experience across all touchpoints with an omnichannel software solution.

The retailer has selected Epicor Retail solutions from Epicor Software to help transform its omnichannel strategy into one that is "customer first," while increasing its commitment to "operational excellence," according to an Epicor company statement.

Christopher & Banks was founded in 1956 and now consists of retail, outlet and online businesses specializing in women's apparel. To improve efficiency and enhance its customer experience, the company will implement the Epicor Retail platform across its more than 500 stores in 43 states.

"Our customers are at the center of all that we do," said LuAnn Via, president and CEO, Christopher & Banks. "The investments in Epicor Retail technology will enable our 'Customer First' initiative, which is about offering our valued 'friend' a seamless experience, whenever, wherever and however she chooses to shop. We are excited about further elevating our personalized service across our brick-and-mortar and online stores; offering her options for an expanded selection; and reaching her with relevant messaging in all interactions via digital, email, direct mail and mobile."

To support its objectives, the retailer will leverage a broad solution set from the comprehensive Epicor Retail suite, which was recently expanded through acquisitions to include Epicor QuantiSense retail business intelligence and analytics, as well as Epicor ShopVisible order management and digital commerce solutions.

"Retailers such as Christopher & Banks are investing in their retail systems to support the needs of today's empowered consumer and also execute on many other key initiatives," said Noel Goggin, executive VP and GM, Epicor Retail.

The company plans to upgrade its CRM solution with the Epicor Retail CRM 7.0 offering, which will be used in conjunction with the Epicor QuantiSense Retail Business Intelligence solution to support an enhanced enterprise-wide, single view of customer information obtained across store, online and call center segments. It will also enable personalized marketing campaigns and offers to the customers.

Christopher & Banks will use the Epicor ShopVisible cloud retail order management solution with integrated product information management capabilities. Put together with Epicor Retail Enterprise Selling, the combination will enable more flexible fulfillment options and customer convenience through services such as buy online and pick up in-store.

Epicor QuantiSense Retail Business Intelligence will support streamlined operations, increase customer engagement, and fully leverage enterprise-wide data to gain actionable insights. This will further optimize all aspects of Christopher & Banks' operations, from the supply chain through multichannel points of purchase.

Christopher & Banks will also take advantage of Epicor Retail's partnership with AJB Software Design to simplify and secure electronic payment acceptance at the point of purchase, thus enabling the retailer to accommodate new and emerging methods of payment and comply with security best practices, such as the EMV initiative.
